Overcoming Adversity

Terrell Owens,also known as T.O, didn't always live the lavish life that people once saw. He was raised by his grandmother, because of his mothers circumstances and his absent father. Matter of fact, T.O didn't even meet his father till he was 11.Which is sad, because his dad stayed right across the street. But that didn't stop him, T.O "found refuge from the complications of his family life" by playing football.

He really began to bloom when he started playing for Benjamin Russell High School. He was considered a man amongst boys, on the field. He also excelled in baseball, basketball, and track. His athletic ability allowed him to earn a scholarship to the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. Where he set many records and earned first-team All Southern Conference honors.
